Reception for Filmmakers and Friends
Friday, May 10, 7–8:15 p.m.
Advance ticket sales are closed; a few tickets may be available at the door—thanks for the support!
We hate we cannot accommodate everyone tonight, but remember our Wrap Party on Saturday evening: we’ll have plenty of space there.
Join us for Friday’s opening film blocks (from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m.) in Daniels Auditorium and stay for our reception (at 7 p.m.) to honor Longleaf 2024 Official Selection filmmakers and their supporters—and all friends of Longleaf. Chat one-on-one while enjoying appetizers and drinks—remember: Film, Fun, and Community! Afterwards, watch more films at our evening film block (from 8:30 to 10 p.m.), Movies-N-Moonlight.
Dress is Filmmaker Casual.
Ezra Golden will provide musical entertainment during tonight’s Reception for Filmmakers and Friends. Based in Raleigh, his journey with the guitar began at the age of 10 under the guidance of his grandfather, Lyman Golden, who taught classical guitar at multiple universities in the Southeast. Ezra continued his formal training under the mentorship of Michael Conners at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts in High Point and has played with maestros such as Xavier Jara and Jason Vieaux. In his spare time, Ezra enjoys running, playing basketball, and riding bike trails.
