Like all Longleaf events and programs, our screening weekend is free, but please join our Facebook event so you can share your gratitude with filmmakers.
Even with current COVID-19 restrictions, the Longleaf crew has worked with many of our filmmakers, including Longleaf award winners, to create a viewing opportunity during which you can still see films over our original festival dates—Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15. For these two days only, 4 p.m. on Friday through 11 p.m. on Saturday, films listed in the tables below will be available for free viewing. Watch narrative and documentary shorts and features, plus animated films, music videos, spoken word productions, and films from high school students.
Please share your gratitude to these films’ teams by commenting on our Facebook Event page AND/OR by giving them a shout-out on their individual social media links (most are available on the Official Selections page). We truly appreciate their generosity and understand the many reasons some Official Selection films are not available for this event.
In addition, we ask that you consider making a contribution to Longleaf (use our PayPal link in the sidebar), to help replace some of the funds we lost by not seeing you in person these last two years; and, again, please thank this year’s sponsors.
The following films from the 2021 Longleaf Film Festival are available to you. Please note: as usual, these independent films are not rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) or the Classification and Ratings Administration (CARA), and many are not family friendly films; most would fall into the PG or PG13 range and a few would meet requirements for an R rating—be aware before watching with young children. So, grab a drink, dive into that bag of popcorn, and close your eyes to imagine the hustle and bustle that will be Longleaf next year, at the museum . . . then enjoy safely, One Last (Virtual) Viewing Event . . .
